August 2, 2005 - NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

Alana Miller (CFAC Coordinator) and Stephanie Hobson (Boys & Girls Club Staff 2005) make a giant bubble for a young girl at National Night Out August 2nd 2005. 

Caring for Ada's Children set up a fun bubble booth on ECU's campus for the 22nd Annual National Night Out.

 

Young and old enjoyed being trapped inside the giant bubbles at National Night Out 2005.

August 30, 2005 - Ada Walk This Weigh CampaignTwo kiddos enjoy blowing bubbles at Wintersmith Park during the Ada Regional United Way "Walk This Weigh Campaign" and "Turning Point" kickoff.

 

A boy enjoys turning in circles while playing with a bubble wand at Wintersmith Park.  Caring for Ada's Children set up a booth with bubbles, Youth Resource Directories, and Kid Safe Cards.

August 27, 2005 - BOWL FOR KIDS SAKE

Caring for Ada's Children put together a bowling team to participate in the "Bowl For Kids Sake" fundraiser that Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Ada held Saturday August 27th.

October 31, 2005 - Halloween Safe House

October 31, 2005 - Halloween Safe HouseCaring for Ada's Children set up a table at the Agri-Plex on Halloween night for the annual "Safe House."  There were approximately 3,700 children who utilized the "Safe House" for trick-or treating this year.

Fall 2005 - Ada High School's "Story Time"

Fall 2005 - Ada High School's The Ada High School Leadership Class is currently going into 3 different Head Start classes, 3 daycare centers, and one in-home daycare center to read children's stories to infants and toddlers.  CFAC set up this project to last until at least the end of the year.  The class meets with their assigned center every Monday. 

 

Ada High School's Leadership Class will sometimes utilize the Ada Public Library for children's packets which include books, puppets, and sometimes audio/video cassette tapes.
